Spot delivery at the Waha hub in West Texas was $0.35/MMBtu on Monday, the first
positive print since February and ending a 131-day streak of subzero prices. Hot
weather, capacity gains after pipeline maintenance and signs of pipeline
expansions pushed the rally. The move relieves pressure on regional producers
such as Permian Resources and Devon Energy, which had idled high
gas-to-oil-ratio wells to avoid further cash burn.
