Today the Ministry of Finance issued the third tranche of 2026 RMB government bonds in the Hong Kong SAR, size 15 bln yuan. After the sale, total RMB government bonds issued by the ministry in Hong Kong this year rises to 44.5 bln yuan. Under a State Council-approved plan, the ministry will issue 84 bln yuan in Hong Kong across six tranches this year.

National Bureau of Statistics: In May, newly built commercial residential sales prices in first-tier cities rose 0.2% MoM, 0.1ppt wider than April. Shanghai +0.2% MoM, Guangzhou +0.2%, Shenzhen +0.4%, Beijing -0.2%. Second-tier new-home prices -0.1% MoM, unchanged from April. Third-tier new-home prices -0.4% MoM, a 0.1ppt larger decline. Among 70 major cities, 16 posted MoM gains in new-home prices, two more than April. For second-hand homes, first-tier prices +0.4% MoM, unchanged; Beijing +0.1%, Shanghai +0.6%, Guangzhou +0.1%, Shenzhen +0.6%. Second-tier resales -0.2% MoM, unchanged. Third-tier resales -0.4% MoM, a 0.1ppt wider decline. Among 70 cities, 10 saw MoM increases in resale prices, two fewer than April.
