Bank of Japan plans to buy JPY 100 bln of 10-25 year Japanese government bonds twice monthly from July through September, versus a prior schedule of three purchases per month of JPY 80 bln.

Deutsche Securities says the BOJ faces a communications crossroads: it must choose to keep current forward‑guidance wording or recharacterize the degree of monetary ease. If wording is unchanged, a move to a 1.25% policy rate would create a new challenge in justifying further hikes; with the BOJ’s estimated lower bound of the nominal neutral rate at about 1.1% and the policy rate already near 1.0%, policy above ~1.1% would be difficult to describe as accommodative.

Bosera Fund manager Tang Yibing said the STAR Market is positioned as "hard tech", targeting high‑tech and strategic emerging companies that deliver national development objectives and breakthroughs in core technologies. He said A‑share Q1 corporate earnings overall beat expectations and, structurally, growth sectors led by the STAR Market are entering an acceleration phase. With China accelerating construction of a new power system, Tang said competition in the energy‑storage industry is likely to shift from single‑device contests to integrated capabilities—hardware, software and operations—and that digitalization in B2B energy‑storage applications offers broad commercial prospects.
