Iranian media reported on June 16 that Foreign Minister Araghchi said talks with
the U.S. will be held in two phases. Phase one will address ending hostilities,
reopening the Strait of Hormuz, unfreezing Iranian assets and post-war
reconstruction. Negotiations will then continue for 60 days in a second phase
aimed at a final agreement covering Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of
U.S. sanctions.
