On June 16 the office held a video coordination meeting to assess current urban
gas safety risks and deploy priority work for the coming period. It called on
local authorities and departments to reinforce a safety-first approach, fully
discharge responsibilities, intensify inspections and rectification of safety
hazards, step up enforcement against illegal operations and regulatory breaches
in the urban gas sector, and promote standardization and professionalization in
the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry.
