Guangdong party secretary Huang Kunming on June 16 presided over a meeting
setting out policy measures to accelerate the province’s new
electromechanical-integration sector. He said Guangdong will continue to
prioritise electromechanical integration and hardware‑software coordination,
reinforce machinery foundations, bolster electrical capabilities and deepen AI
leadership to build a world‑class new electromechanical‑integration and
artificial intelligence industrial cluster and accelerate the shift from a large
manufacturing province to a leading manufacturing power. On hard tech,
authorities will organise systematic efforts to address “bottleneck”
constraints, increase support for technology‑leading fields such as new‑energy
vehicles and drones, and deepen development in robot vision, intelligent sensing
and advanced materials aimed at achieving greater domestic control of core
components and strategic materials and speeding industrial application.
