On June 16, Omani and Iranian foreign ministers held a phone call and reiterated
both countries’ commitment to international law on maritime security and freedom
of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. They called for continued practical
diplomatic efforts to foster a constructive diplomatic environment, said they
will work to maintain regional security and stability, and agreed to deepen
bilateral cooperation across sectors on a good‑neighborly basis.
