ZDNet Korea reports Samsung Electronics is co-developing production equipment
with multiple partners for seventh‑generation 10nm‑class (1d) DRAM, targeting
equipment introduction as early as Q2 next year and first mass production by
year‑end. 1d denotes a linewidth of roughly 10–11 nm; the current commercial
10nm‑class 1c generation uses about 11–12 nm. Further linewidth shrinkage should
improve DRAM performance and energy efficiency.
