China and Myanmar agreed to deepen practical cooperation in minerals, the
digital economy and artificial intelligence to maximize economic
complementarity. They will deepen collaboration in agriculture, forestry and
livestock, simplify quarantine and market access for quality agricultural
products and explore smart customs measures. Noting steady bilateral trade
growth, the two sides agreed to expand scale and diversity, implement an
RMB-kyat direct settlement mechanism to facilitate trade, and support trade and
investment in agricultural processing, oil and energy sectors.
