Israel's foreign minister Gideon Sa'ar said he will cut all contact with EU high
representative for foreign affairs and security policy Kallas, accusing her of
showing "blatant injustice" after she likened Israel to South African apartheid.
Sa'ar said Kallas made no denial, clarification or response and he will sever
ties "until she retracts this slander against the world's only Jewish state."
The move comes as Israel-EU relations remain highly strained amid the Gaza war
and related fighting in Lebanon; Sa'ar said most EU leaders oppose a US-Israel
war on Iran this year. He added the war has pushed energy prices higher and
damaged the global economy.
