China's National Data Bureau said a series of forums assessing the 1H digital
economy found early emergence of token-based pricing and utility-pay models,
rapid expansion of digital consumption, continued growth in digital trade, and
active investment in the digital economy, highlighting the sector's resilience
and potential and adding momentum to the national economy. The bureau said it
will continue to refine the market-oriented data-factor allocation reform "531"
system, expand value-extraction pathways for data elements, accelerate building
a data-as-key-factor digital economy, align policy with the 15th Five-Year Plan
deployment, intensify monitoring of digital-economy developments, prepare policy
reserves, and promote deeper integration of the digital and real economies to
strengthen and scale China's digital economy. (National Data Bureau)
