On the 18th, MOFCOM and seven other ministries issued implementation opinions
setting 17 measures to accelerate AI integration into consumer goods and
services. In goods, the plan calls for expanding smart-terminal supply and
shifting consumer electronics from function to intelligence, developing a
humanoid-robot consumer track, accelerating robot penetration from industrial to
consumer scenarios, building product-launch platforms, creating a
people–car–home full-scenario ecosystem, and promoting integration of AI with
brain‑computer interfaces and augmented reality to develop internationally
competitive products. In services, measures target five scenarios — home,
elderly care, culture & tourism, accommodation & catering, and education —
including a study to include smart-home and services in the Good House
construction guide; guidance for elderly-care institutions to deploy IT
management, smart security and to equip smart nursing and rehabilitation robots;
and use of AI to streamline hotel check-in for overseas guests.
