Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) opened down 71.31 points, or 0.88%, at 8,072.72. Hang Seng Red Chip Index opened down 22.50 points, or 0.54%, at 4,149.33.

On June 18 in Beijing, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade president Ren Hongbin met with Sorensen, chairman of the Novo Nordisk Foundation and chairman of Novo Nordisk’s board. They discussed Novo Nordisk deepening its China market presence, accelerating in‑China investment, strengthening biopharma cooperation with Chinese partners, and increasing participation in the Healthy China initiative.
