Friday, June 19, then turned lower. The Nikkei 225 closed up 196.57 points
(+0.28%) at 71,250.06 after briefly falling more than 0.5% intraday. The KOSPI
closed down 14.81 points (-0.16%) at 9,049.03 after an intraday drop exceeding
3%.
