Fox News reported Trump told Iranian officials in a phone call last night not to
close the Strait of Hormuz, warning "if you close it, you will no longer be a
country." He said the US could act as the strait's "guardian" and "take" 20% of
Iran's oil, suggested the US might seize control of the waterway if necessary,
warned he would "blow them to pieces," and said the US could impose transit fees
if no agreement is reached.
