Qatar and Pakistan said technical talks on all issues will continue for the remainder of the week at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland.

The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) today released its 2025 Annual Report on New Drug Registration Clinical Trial Progress, showing China’s total number of drug clinical trials surpassed 5,000 for the first time. The report says 248 new drugs received regulatory approval following clinical trials in 2025, covering 18 indication areas including oncology, endocrine and psychiatric disorders.

SANA reported Syrian President Ahmed Shala said Syria can play a constructive role in resolving Lebanon’s crisis by supporting Lebanon and helping establish communication channels among Lebanese political factions, including Hezbollah. He said earlier comments about Syria’s possible role were misinterpreted and sparked concerns of potential military intervention. Shala said Syria seeks economic—not military—corridors with Lebanon, citing historical trade links between Damascus and Beirut and between Homs and Tripoli. He added talks with the US have focused on ending the conflict and addressing its consequences for Lebanon and Syria.
