Turkey’s presidential communications office said on the 22nd (local time)
President Erdogan spoke by phone with Iranian President Pezeshkian. Erdogan
welcomed the recent Iran‑US consensus, said Turkey would do its utmost to
support the process toward a peaceful outcome and warned against forces seeking
to derail the talks. He called for concrete steps to consolidate regional peace
and said Turkey will continue efforts in that direction. Erdogan added Turkey
and Iran will take active measures to deepen pragmatic cooperation in trade,
finance and energy.
