RIA reported the Russian deputy foreign minister said Russia believes the US is departing from agreements reached by the two presidents at last year’s Alaska summit.

On June 23 Dongfang Zirconium’s subsidiary Qinyang Donggao New Materials Technology Co. began construction of a Phase I plant to produce 60,000 t/yr of new‑energy battery‑grade zirconium oxychloride and 12,000 t/yr of zirconium‑hafnium separated high‑purity oxides. Phase I total investment is 532 mln yuan; on completion the project will provide 60,000 t/yr of battery‑grade zirconium oxychloride capacity.
