China State Planner and the National Energy Administration issued a new energy
system plan to build a flexible power‑load ecosystem and increase user‑side
demand response via new load management systems. The plan calls for full use of
electric‑vehicle storage and integrated vehicle‑pile‑station‑grid interaction,
promoting smart, orderly charging and targeting roughly 50 GW of aggregated
adjustable vehicle‑grid charging capacity by 2030. It also mandates accelerated
scale‑up of virtual power plants, aiming for VPP regulation capacity to exceed
50 GW by 2030.
