Local time June 26 — Caracas’s Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport,
Venezuela’s largest airport, sustained structural damage in an earthquake and
remains closed; commercial flights are suspended. Copa Airlines said on June 26
it has suspended flights between Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport and
Maiquetía from June 24 through July 2. To evacuate affected passengers, Copa
will add two daily commercial flights between Panama City and Valencia (Carabobo
state) from June 26 to July 2, increasing service from one to three daily
flights.
