June 29, 2026 — Zhuhai released its Maritime New Infrastructure Construction
Action Plan and a first batch of 33 investment opportunities. The plan sets a
"Five Intelligences and One Core" framework: smart navigation, smart sourcing,
smart connectivity, smart control, smart production and a central core. A
Maritime New Infrastructure Industry Alliance was formed and a Bay Area Marine
Data R&D Center was launched. Zhuhai aims to complete by 2028 a modern maritime
new-infrastructure system integrating physical, digital and ecological spaces
and to become a national pilot demonstration city to support high-quality
marine-economy development.
