June 30 — China foreign minister Wang Yi met Saudi foreign minister Faisal in Beijing. Wang welcomed the start of US–Iran talks, called the current ceasefire fragile and urged preservation and implementation of the memorandum of understanding, continued negotiation momentum and efforts to overcome disruptions to secure a comprehensive agreement acceptable to both the US and Iran, regional states and the international community. China said it will work with Saudi Arabia to help de‑escalate tensions and pursue long-term regional stability, and supports a larger Saudi role in international and regional affairs while upholding UN authority and promoting a fairer global governance system.

Palestinian sources said on June 30 Israeli forces shelled southern Khan Younis, Rafah and northern Gaza City, conducting heavy bombardment and large-scale demolitions that damaged infrastructure and displaced dozens of families; several civilians were wounded. Gaza medical services said Israeli operations on June 29 killed at least eight Palestinians, including two children, and injured others. Israel had no immediate comment.
