China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development urged localities at a
Changsha meeting to expand government procurement support for green building
materials, accelerate R&D of thermal insulation, high-performance concrete and
other new materials, and improve materials' thermal, waterproofing and
environmental performance. The ministry called for systematic planning of the
green building industry to drive a high-quality green transition in urban and
rural construction.
