Refinitiv, citing a US senior official, said President Trump plans to meet
Ukrainian President Zelenskiy on July 8 at the NATO summit in Turkey to discuss
ending the war and is likely to call Russian President Putin after the meeting;
the official said Trump is eager to press for a quick resolution. Russian
presidential aide Ushakov said earlier that Putin told Trump Russia is prepared
to pursue a diplomatic settlement based on a Russian proposal, and that the two
discussed the resolution process and Trump’s upcoming trip to the summit.
