Allianz (China) Insurance Holdings published the Chinese-language 2026 Allianz Global Insurance Development Report on July 6, showing global total premiums written rose 7.1% in 2025 to €6.9 trillion. China’s market expanded 7.4% in 2025 to €745.6 billion, remaining the world’s second-largest and roughly 50% larger than a decade earlier. The report forecasts China will lead global insurance growth over the next decade with a 7.3% average annual pace, and says the market is transitioning from high-speed expansion to higher-quality, more stable and structurally optimized growth.
