China has completed its first high-precision roundness reference device, filling a domestic gap in roundness measurement traceability and bringing its technical capability into the international advanced tier. The device will provide high-reliability, high-precision traceability support for aerospace, high-end machine tools, advanced optics and semiconductor manufacturing, strengthen the national geometric metrology system, and is expected to inject fresh momentum into technological development and industrial upgrading.

TF International Securities analyst Ming‑Chi Kuo says his supply‑chain survey shows foldable iPhone assembly shipments of about 7–8 million in H2 2026, with Q3 shipments of 0.5–1.0 million (around 10% of H2). By contrast, iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max are estimated at about 20–22 million in Q3 and are already stocked for a September retail launch. Kuo says, based on Q3 stocking, the foldable model is likely to mirror the 2017 iPhone X pattern — announced with other models but opening pre‑orders and official sales later — and expects supply tightness to persist through year‑end.
