Alpine freeride and nine-person synchronized figure skating (synchro9) will debut. The IOC executive board confirmed retention of snowboard parallel giant slalom and non-retention of Nordic combined. The Games are scheduled Feb. 1-17, 2030, the fourth Winter Olympics held in France after Chamonix 1924, Grenoble 1968 and Albertville 1992.
