TrendForce’s latest spot-price report shows DRAM spot trading remains thin as
most buyers stay on the sidelines. DDR3 and 4Gb DDR4 chip prices rose modestly;
mainstream DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s was largely stable. The average spot price for
DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s increased to $37.14 in the week to July 7 from $36.10 on July
1, a 2.88% rise. NAND flash: weak consumer-electronics demand keeps market and
prices depressed. Suppliers are cutting quotes to clear inventories, but buyer
restocking is extremely passive and further price reductions are approaching
suppliers’ cost tolerance. 512Gb TLC wafer spot price fell 2.87% to $19.293 on
July 6.
