July 10 — At a press briefing on APEC 2026’s Digital and AI ministers’ meeting and Digital Week, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology deputy minister Xiong Jijun said MIIT is willing to work with other economies to use the events as a forum for sharing policy and practice and to promote practical cooperation in digital and AI across the Asia‑Pacific, supporting openness, inclusion and win‑win collaboration and injecting digital momentum into an open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia‑Pacific community.
