China equities closed lower on July 10 (Friday): China's Shanghai Composite Index fell 40.43 points (-1.00%) to 3,996.16; Shenzhen Composite Index fell 352.06 points (-2.29%) to 15,046.67; CSI 300 Index fell 95.53 points (-1.96%) to 4,780.79; ChiNext Index fell 175.44 points (-4.37%) to 3,842.73; STAR 50 Index fell 120.85 points (-5.53%) to 2,064.98.

China’s National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters raised flood and typhoon emergency response from level-4 to level-3 at 17:00 on July 9 for Zhejiang and Fujian as Typhoon Bavi approaches. At 14:00 on July 9 the meteorological agency placed Bavi’s center about 1,030 km east-southeast of Keelung, Taiwan in the northwest Pacific, with maximum winds near the center of 52 m/s and a 7-level wind radius of 500 km. Bavi is moving northwest at 10–15 km/h and may make landfall or pass northern Taiwan on July 11 daytime (super/strong typhoon), then is forecast to make coastal landfall between Fuqing (Fujian) and Wenling (Zhejiang) on the night of July 11 (strong typhoon/typhoon). Authorities said the storm’s landfall intensity, wide impact and destructive potential make the situation severe and complex; emergency response will be adjusted as the storm evolves.

Data from private fund tracker Simuwang show that as of June 30, 2026, 100 private fund managers with performance records and AUM ≥¥10bn posted an average June return of 2.18%, outperforming the CSI 300’s 1.78% gain.
