Inditex said on Friday senior executive Beatrice Pardin has left the group after
more than 40 years, including 25 years as head of Zara womenswear. Pardin, a
member of Inditex’s management committee since 2021, will be replaced by Alfredo
Ferro, currently director of Zara’s Basic line. Inditex is repositioning toward
higher-priced, more premium apparel and pursuing exclusive collaborations with
designers and photographers, citing recent tie-ups with John Galliano and pop
star Bad Bunny. Zara has been central to those fashion moves but its growth has
slowed in recent years.
