Central Bank of Egypt said Suez Canal revenue for fiscal 2025/26 from July through March was $3.2 billion, up from $2.6 billion a year earlier.

Israel's defense minister Katz told an Israeli programme he intends to turn southern Lebanon into Gaza, saying the military will use the Rafah-style tactics applied to southern Gaza to "destroy everything there." Katz said Israeli forces have destroyed local infrastructure and flattened about 90% of buildings in southern Lebanon. He added that "security zones" in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria are now part of Israel's national security policy and represent an "extremely significant achievement."
