Israel's defense minister Katz told an Israeli programme he intends to turn southern Lebanon into Gaza, saying the military will use the Rafah-style tactics applied to southern Gaza to "destroy everything there." Katz said Israeli forces have destroyed local infrastructure and flattened about 90% of buildings in southern Lebanon. He added that "security zones" in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria are now part of Israel's national security policy and represent an "extremely significant achievement."

Beijing emergency office said the municipal flood-control emergency response was fully lifted at 14:00 on July 12. At 14:00, level-1 responses were lifted in Daxing, Tongzhou, Shunyi and Pinggu.
