The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration
issued a red mountain flash-flood meteorological warning at 18:00 on July 12.
Forecast for 20:00 July 12–20:00 July 13: parts of northeastern Liaoning,
southwestern Jilin, southern Anhui and northeastern Jiangxi face a high
likelihood of mountain flash floods (orange warning); northeastern Liaoning,
southwestern Jilin and southern Anhui carry a very high likelihood (red
warning). County-level areas are listed in the bulletin. Other areas may see
localized, short-duration intense rainfall that could trigger flash floods.
Authorities urged real-time monitoring, flood-control warnings and
relocation/evacuation measures.
