Goldman Sachs said on the oil market it expects effective pipeline throughput capacity to rise by 3.8 mln b/d by end-2027, reaching a cumulative increase of 7.3 mln b/d by end-2028.

China A-share semiconductor sector staged a short-lived rally; Shanghai Hejing rose over 13%, with Diaowei, Tuolunsi, Fuchuang Precision, Shengke Communications and Hengxuan Technology also advancing.

Hong Kong stocks reversed early gains after an intraday surge: the Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng Tech Index each rose more than 1% before turning lower. By the midday break the Hang Seng Index was down 0.11% and the Hang Seng Tech Index down 0.81%. Autos underperformed: SERES (09927.HK) led decliners, falling 11.3% at the half-day; Lantu Motor (07489.HK) and GAC Group (02238.HK) fell more than 6%. Semiconductor-related names also slid, with Zhaoyi Innovation (03986.HK), Yingdan Technology (00400.HK) and Changguang Chenxin (03277.HK) each off over 10%.
