South Korean media, citing industry sources, said on Monday Samsung Electronics has begun preparing to manufacture Tesla's next-generation AI chip, AI5. A Samsung executive posted on LinkedIn that AI5 has completed tape-out, indicating the chip's final design is done ahead of mass production. AI5 is a Tesla-designed processor intended to power Full Self-Driving (FSD), the Optimus humanoid robot and Tesla AI data centers.
