Nikkei reports NVIDIA is considering a partnership with Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries to supply cooling systems and energy-management equipment for
next-generation AI data centres, which NVIDIA calls "AI factories". Mitsubishi
Heavy manufactures data-centre air conditioning, high-efficiency cooling and
backup power equipment and provides integrated energy-management systems; it
also holds a global-leading share in gas turbines and is expected to pursue
collaboration with NVIDIA on power infrastructure. SK Group is working with
NVIDIA on a Japan AI factory targeted for 2028-29. As AI data-centre power
demand climbs, markets including the US are increasingly deploying gas-fired
power plants to supply data centres.
