Federal Reserve chair Kevin Warsh said the Treasury may use the Exchange Stabilization Fund (ESF) to arrange swap lines unrelated to Fed monetary policy.

On the morning of the 15th local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it struck US military facilities in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait, including the US Fifth Fleet facility in Bahrain. The IRGC said it destroyed the Fifth Fleet's command-and-control center in Bahrain, fuel storage and munitions depots; hangars at Azraq air base in Jordan housing F-15, F-16 and F-35 aircraft and several MQ-9 drones; and US sites in Kuwait including a satellite communications centre, air-defence radar, a Patriot air-defence system, a US logistics base and a HIMARS rocket-launcher platform. The IRGC said the strikes were carried out in response to US night strikes on multiple locations along Iran's southern coast on the night of the 14th.
