At a routine briefing, Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said the
"non-red supply chain" is ideological political manipulation by some countries
that violates economic and market norms, destabilizes the global economy and
disrupts normal trade. She accused the Democratic Progressive Party of echoing
and aiding these moves—restricting cross-strait economic cooperation while
ceding Taiwan's competitive industries to external forces and surrendering
economic autonomy—which she said will harm Taiwanese firms, citizens and the
island's future. The office warned that efforts toward "cross-strait decoupling
and chain-cutting" will backfire and damage Taiwan's economy.
