Two small product tankers and two bulkers also transited the strait. The US began a maritime blockade of Iranian shipping on Tuesday local time, reinstating measures used in April and May; President Trump has abandoned a prior plan to levy a 20% charge on cargo transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
