By the midday close in China, main futures contracts were mostly higher.
Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) rose over 6%, fuel oil climbed more than 5%, synthetic
rubber, container freight (Europe route) and ethylene glycol (EG) gained over
4%, palladium jumped nearly 4%, and SC crude oil, styrene (EB) and propylene
advanced over 3%. On the downside, polysilicon and lithium carbonate slid more
than 2%, urea and Shanghai lead fell nearly 2%, and soda ash, peanuts and
Shanghai nickel dropped over 1%.
