Financial Times reports multiple people familiar say the European Commission
plans to issue several separate enforcement decisions against Google within the
next week, imposing fines totalling in the hundreds of millions of euros. The
measures are said to include the threat of daily penalty payments and new
regulatory orders under the EU Digital Markets Act. Under the DMA, breaches can
carry fines of up to 10% of global turnover; Alphabet’s revenue last year was
$402.83 bln.
