Israeli public broadcaster reported that after a US request Israel on July 15 lifted restrictions on US military aerial-refuelling tankers landing at Tel Aviv’s Ben‑Gurion International Airport. The Israel Airports Authority told air traffic control to allow US tankers to land and park, reversing Transport Minister Miri Regev’s earlier order banning additional US tanker arrivals. Ben‑Gurion had sought to move the tankers to free stands for summer civil flights; sources said US Central Command, citing rising US‑Iran tensions, requested continued tanker and crew presence in Israel.
