The US Treasury on Wednesday sanctioned several individuals and entities it said form an international network that helps Iran procure weapons. Targets include Iranian and Russian nationals and entities based in Iran, Russia and Nigeria. The Treasury said the designations show Iran uses foreign airlines and transport firms, financial channels and travel coordinators to conceal the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' role in illicit procurement and to move materiel and personnel globally.
