China's first domestically designed and built deep-sea, intelligent cable-laying vessel "Tianyi Navigator" was commissioned in Shanghai on the 15th and has begun full-system subsea cable installation trials. The vessel is intended to underpin computing power and AI development.

Toyota Auto Body notified Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism it is recalling 11,467 single-seat pure-electric COMS vehicles produced July 2012–April 2025 due to a parking-brake defect. The firm reported 32 incidents, including brake failure. Toyota Auto Body implemented a January recall for a parking-brake cable defect that overlaps with some of the affected vehicles.
