The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) said in its National Logistics Hub Innovation Development Report (2026) that average cargo throughput at designated national logistics hubs rose 5.5% YoY in 2025, 2.3ppt faster than the national freight volume average. Infrastructure gaps narrowed: about 80% of hubs now have rail yards or dedicated lines, with rail access at 97.2% of inland-port hubs and 89.7% of port-type hubs. Rail integration strengthened—71.3% of hubs operate rail freight services and the number of hub trains increased 7.4% YoY; port-type hubs operate more than 2,700 freight shipping routes. China has designated 181 national logistics hubs across seven batches, covering roughly 79% of the planned network.
