Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular briefing that this year
marks the 25th anniversary of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and
Friendly Cooperation. In May, Xi and Putin met in Beijing and agreed to extend
the treaty; under the two leaders' strategic guidance they will uphold the
treaty's principles and expand mutually beneficial cooperation across sectors,
aiming to increase benefits for both populations and add stability and
development confidence globally.
