Entering the main flood period of late July–early August, when agricultural
disasters and autumn-grain yield formation are most acute, the Ministry of
Agriculture has launched a 100-day field-management and disaster-resilience
campaign to secure the autumn and annual grain harvests. The drive targets key
crops, vulnerable regions and major disaster events with crop-, region- and
stage-specific measures: scientific fertilization, water-saving irrigation,
foliar sprays and other yield-enhancement field practices. It directs ditch
clearing and soil-moisture management, chemical measures to control lodging and
single foliar-spray operations intended to deliver multiple protective effects.
Authorities will implement unified and joint prevention-and-control and
emergency-response arrangements to minimise disaster losses and protect
harvests.
