China launched a Space Computing Services Special Committee on July 18 during
the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, initiated by the MIIT Center
for SME Development Promotion under the China Association for International
Cooperation on Small and Medium Enterprises. The committee, China’s first
nationwide industry coordination platform focused on space computing for SMEs,
will build an integrated industry-matching vehicle to help SMEs link the
space-to-ground computing value chain and support high-quality development of
China’s aerospace information industry. Dongfang Tiansuan will serve as a
standing council member and, with more than 40 upstream and downstream industry
participants, will jointly construct an industry hub integrating industry,
academia, research and application.
