U.S. Central Command said it completed another round of strikes on Iran on July 18 at 11:30 p.m. ET, under the commander’s direction, marking the eighth consecutive night of airstrikes. Forces struck Iranian coastal surveillance and air-defense facilities, maritime warfare assets, and missile and UAV storage sites, and also targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps units, aiming to continue degrading Iran’s military capabilities. CENTCOM said IRGC forces attacked U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17. More than 50,000 U.S. service members are deployed in the Middle East and remain on high alert, focused, lethal and ready to respond.
